Dance is a fantastic way to extend your range of movement and has many health benefits from boosting bone density to battling conditions like Dementia, Parkinson’s Disease and MS.

 

In Dance4Health classes, aimed at adults in later life, we aim to improve strength, balance, co-ordination¬†and reduce the likelihood of falls. Exercises are based on proven physiotherapy methods but ‘hidden’ in the dance moves so the focus is on expression and enjoyment rather than the underlying problem. Research shows this is an effective way to increase motivation and has the additional benefit of being mentally uplifting.
